Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

Welcome to Trend Edits. Please read these Terms of Service and Privacy Policy carefully before submitting any commercial video production projects or initiating payments. By utilizing our digital production services, platform infrastructure, or submitting briefs, you explicitly agree to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined below.

1. Terms of Service

A. Core Services & Payment Structure

  • Project-Based Operations: Trend Edits operates exclusively on a pay-upfront, per-project model for specialized digital video production services. We do not provide or commit to recurring subscription agreements.

  • Upfront Payment Fulfillment: Full financial settlement for the mutually agreed project scope must be cleared in our accounts before any production editing resources, team members, or software infrastructure are permanently allocated to your assets.

B. Service Initiation, Project Submission & Asset Management

  • Initiating Service: Prospective clients must initiate contact by completing the public "Contact Us" form located on the Trend Edits website. Upon receiving this initial inquiry, Trend Edits will coordinate an onboarding consultation to formally define, negotiate, and mutually agree upon the specific project scope, deliverables, and financial terms.

  • Formal Project Submission: Once terms are mutually agreed upon and the initial payment link or invoice is issued, the client will be granted access to our private, secure project submission form to formally supply specific project outlines, brand guidelines, and script files.

  • Secondary Channels: Under specific, pre-arranged operational circumstances following the initial onboarding, supplementary creative briefs or materials may be officially accepted via email communication or our verified Discord infrastructure.

  • Asset Infrastructure: Clients bear the sole responsibility of supplying all relevant high-resolution assets and media files through stable, compliant cloud storage systems, namely Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive.

C. Revisions & Boundary of Scope

  • 15-Day Revision Window: Trend Edits provides a strict, fixed 15-day revision window that commences immediately upon delivery of the initial project draft or video compilation. Any revision or alteration requests submitted after this 15-day period has elapsed will be subject to a completely new project quote and additional production fees.

  • In-Scope Adjustments: Revisions are complimentary if, and only if, the client's original submitted outline explicitly requested features, edits, or stylistic choices that were omitted or executed incorrectly in the delivered draft—provided they align perfectly with the budget scope defined during the initial onboarding sales call.

  • Out-of-Scope Variations: Requests for advanced styling, features, or creative assets that were not formally structured or priced during the onboarding phase (including, but not limited to, complex custom animations requested on a basic video editing tier) do not qualify for complimentary adjustments. Out-of-scope work will be independently quoted and requires payment settlement before production.

D. Intellectual Property & Copyright Transfer

  • Provisional Retention: Trend Edits retains all provisional rights, distribution permissions, and creative ownership over any generated media drafts throughout the active editing and production lifecycle.

  • Copyright Clearance: The client gains full, exclusive, and unencumbered copyright ownership of the finalized media assets and deliverables only after full payment has completely cleared into the bank accounts of Trend Edits.

2. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Because Trend Edits immediately allocates custom editing hours, production cloud space, and creative team assets upon the formal acceptance of a brief, we enforce a precise refund framework to mitigate standard administrative and operational overheads:

  • Post-Submission Policy (Strictly Non-Refundable): Once a client has formally submitted their project outline or asset parameters into our system via our secure project submission form, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. Production infrastructure is instantly provisioned at this stage.

  • Pre-Production Cancellation (90% Refund Framework): If a client experiences a change of business direction and requests an official service cancellation before any project outlines have been submitted to our database or editing team, Trend Edits will issue a 90% refund of the total upfront fee. The remaining 10% is strictly retained by Trend Edits to cover unrecoverable administrative layout costs, onboarding time, and merchant transaction processing fees.

3. Privacy & Data Handling Policy

A. Information Collection & Operational Usage

We collect, process, and temporarily store client-submitted operational data including raw media footage, scripts, outline documents, graphic overlays, voiceover audio tracks, and digital channel links. This data is handled strictly for the practical execution and fulfillment of your video production requests.

B. Rigorous Data Retention Limits

  • Media Assets (1-Month Limit): Trend Edits retains raw client video assets, sequence files, and source footage for a minimum of one (1) month following final project delivery. To guarantee processing velocity on team devices and manage expensive secure cloud server environments, all video files are permanently purged after this 30-day mark. We offer no guarantees of asset retrieval, database recovery, or storage continuity after 1 month.

  • Script Archival Exception: As a functional exception, text-based scripts written by our team or supplied by the client will be archived indefinitely in our text databases for record-keeping, compliance proofing, and long-term creative continuity.

C. Merchant Integration & Payment Security

  • Zero Financial Footprint: Trend Edits prioritizes financial security. We do not capture, log, store, or process credit card numbers or sensitive payment authentication parameters on our local servers or website code.

  • Third-Party Processing: All financial processing and gateway transactions are routed securely through accredited, globally compliant merchant providers (such as Stripe). Your payment data is isolated and fully protected via industry-standard secure tokenization and end-to-end encryption layers directly on the processor's checkout pages.

4. Governing Law & Corporate Contact

  • Governing Jurisdiction: These terms, operational frameworks, and data policies are strictly governed by and construed in accordance with the prevailing laws of Queensland, Australia. Any litigation or formal disputes arising from these terms shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts of Queensland.
